Frustration is an emotional response to circumstances where one is obstructed from arriving at a personal goal. The more important the goal, the greater the frustration. It is comparable to anger and disappointment. Sources of frustration may be internal or external. Internal sources of frustration involve personal deficiencies such as a lack of confidence or fear of social situations that prevent one from reaching a goal. Conflict can also be an internal source of frustration when one has competing goals that interfere with one another. External causes of frustration involve conditions outside the person such as a blocked road; or conditions linked to the person's actions but not directly such as lack of money, or lack of sexual activity. In psychology, passive-aggressive behavior is a method of dealing with frustration.

Word association game:
empty
static
screaming
repetition
lack of resolve
trying
failure
unfulfilled
why did i choose these words?
because frustration is the resulting emotion of unfulfilment or lacking or failure. that being said, what makes me frustrated?
lack of money
rude customers
being treated like a slut/public servant
personal relationships having too much baggage because of my unhappiness with my job
again, being mistreated
giving too much, getting too little
being over educated and under appreciated
trying too hard to make other people happy
how do i react to the above stated things that make me frustrated?
i am mean to people
i get defensive
i strut harder because being mean and defensive makes me more frustrated
i lie to people to make them think im ok
i go out of my way to treat men very well (the ones i like, anyway) so that they dont have a reason to treat me like a product on display
sometimes, i shut down all together
i try harder....with my school, relationships and jobs because maybe if i just keep trying, things will get better
i have hope
why do i react in these seemingly extreme ways?
my reactions to that which frustrates me work on extremes.......extreme negative and extreme positive. i try 10 times harder to attain my goal, or i totally shut down. so why do i react this way? partially out of exhaustion and defeat (shutting down) and partially out of hope (stepping up).
what makes customers frustrated?
spending too much money
not getting sex from dancers even though they try to pay for it
having to pay for attention and company, this, in their mind, should be free
not being good enough
loneliness
having a dancer take out her frustration on him
how do customers react?
they make demeaning comments to assert their "power" over me.
they stop spending money
they leave
why do they react this way?
because in my experience, customers tend to be simple.....if they dont like whats on display, they shop somewhere else. they have that power. the dancer has that power as well, however its more difficult for her. To the dancer, the same actions and reactions from customers will come no matter where you are. Often times, its easier for a dancer to just stay put rather than pay attention to the "grass is greener" syndrome.
