Crit Notes- (A.H.)

- The white background clips are more interesting
- Consider the sound as a seperate action from the movement. Play more with the construction.
-Noticed different skill level between girls on shoes. Some looked more comfortable, some more stiff. This was a point of interest and suggested a narritive....who is who?
-Consider the projection being the height of the viewer. Have height/power relationship more clear.
- The car/stocking and carnival ride/pole videos were too abstract, too familiar. They contained psychological content but do not build. Theyre benign and do not make the viewer want to keep looking. Benign.
- The white background clips are more risky and leave more to play with in terms of content.
-The shoes blatantly refer to a stripper or sexualized performance. (W00t!)
- Viewer comes away with ideas of how humans are presented/present themselves. Formally, they reference animals. The skill level of the girl on the shoes reference control.
- Seriously consider how the title will sway the viewer.
- Power relationships- address this conceptually and formally.
-Quality in video was lacking. Perhaps shoot or export at higher res, if possible or use uncompressed formats.
-Address the wardrobe of the model. The black outfit references a dancer at a rehearsal. Is this what I want? Consider unitard, however that may not lend itself to the pulling of fabric by the more nervous girls, thus limiting narrative.
-There was no mention about the penis/beetle mania video.

I envisioned these girls projected on 4 walls, perhaps 3 or 4 girls on each wall. Theyre not exactly human height. Theyre a little bit taller. Slightly. As in, 6'2'' instead of 5'8. Not enough to be a giant, but big enough to talk about power without slamming it in the viewers face. This talks about control and power. Then I use the editing to tell a story.

She critted the work that was presented to her. Not my motive for doing what ive done.
