Masque/Project Progression

Idea:

-History- the masque concealed hte wearers identity and thus functioned as a ticket to "debauchery" and unlawful acts.
-gave lisence to sexual freedom, otherwise not allowed (women)
-allowed for mixing of the classes
-eliminated shame of chance of getting caught.

Questions:

1. viewer reading- Does the girl in the video wearing the mask imply the idea that SHE has shame (therefor she conceals her face) or liberty to do as she pleases without dealing with judgment?
2. Would it be more appropriate for the viewer to wear the mask? (The Gaze)
3. How does the mask improve the piece?
4. Should there be more choreographed movements to imply a performance or would that just give the viewer what they expect, which IS a performance?
5. Can the mask be interpreted as negative, and if so, how does that effect the artist intent?
6. What IS my intent, outside of the basic theoretical 2nd wave bullshit? How is this different?
7. Would the mask make the girls too similar and less individual?
8. Would it be too obvious to have the girl put the mask on and remove it along with the shoes?

The goal here is to look outward more. I believe thats whats gonna take the work "to the next level". This whole mask thing could complicate the idea. It could be interpreted too many different ways. Or, it could just be too easy.
